If they have it for the Springfield xd, I suggest the blackhawk cqc holsters. They're the best I've tried so far... Locks retain your firearm securely yet can instantly be brought to action when needed...

As a career law enforcement individual I carried IWB on and off for years. I will tell you that soft leather is the way to go. As far as where to wear it, it will depend on your body build. Trying different positions will eventually lead you to the most concealable and comfortable. Of course the bigger the shirt the better. With certain types of shirts you can get away with a belt holster. I worked in the southwest where the Mexican wedding shirt was popular, as was a loose Hawaiian shirt. So adjusting your wardrobe may be an alternative. I also used to wear IWB when I would layer a long tailed shirt (unbuttoned) over a colored polo shirt. I knew a Federal Agent that would wear a very light safari type vest in the summer.

Like I said I recommend soft leather if you want more comfort, as far as moisture, I discovered early on that my sweat will pit a blued finish in 2 weeks, so I always carried stainless or nickel finished pistols next to my body. Never had a problem with them. Here is a site with some other options. Good luck.

I use an "uncle mikes". It'sa thin suede like material that fits on the inside of your jeans. They come in right or left hand depending on where you carry. I find it so comfortable that I sometimes have to check to see if it's there. It's all prefrence though.

Bianchi makes a very comfortable IWB holster. Its soft suede leather in and out. My wife has very sensitive skin, and she carries her J-frame Smith in one. For summertime carry, I use one to carry my Colt Officer's .45. I have several pairs of pants that I bought one waist size larger to accomodate the gun. Throw on a loose fitting polo shirt, and you're good to go. If your pants droop, or the gun starts to feel heavy, put suspenders on under the shirt.

Check

They list 189 holsters for the Springfield XD series.

One requirement for the inside the waistband holster is a reinforced lip on the top of the holster, so you can re-holster the gun.

I like the DeSantis or Acker holsters.

I like the SP101. good choice in a carry revolver. You have a few carry holster options.

I'll show you some and then I'll show you the one that I use almost exclusively.

Here is the "Cell Pal" I.W.B. holster:…

Here is the "smart carry" holster:…

Here's the "Royal Guard" from Galco: …

This is the holster that I use for my Glock 23 .40S&W when i carry concealed.
It's the SuperTuck from cross breed holsters:
In my opinion, this is the most comfortable concealed carry holster I've ever used.…

There are many more but these are some of my favorites.
Enjoy.

Look at Super-Tuck and mini-Tuck.

I got a Super Tuck for my PT-111, but wound up using it for my 45. Its better for bigger guns.

There is also Kholster.
Check them out.

Check this one out.
I bought one of these for my Glock, but the link is for one to fit your weapon. Galco, nothing fancy, but get's the job done for a good price.

IWB... you will find over the long term leather wont hurt your pistol ... and it's a lot more comfortable on your body than a stiff sytnetic holster.

Glocks are a little chunky for CCW carry. Slimmer pistols like the 1911 carry easier for most people. Smaller pistons carry easier too... but you give up power and capacity. Frames on the order of PPK's and Kahrs or J frame SW revolvers are always the easiest to pack

For me... IWB or belt holster carry best at about "4 o'clock". Just on the strong side hip... good natural draw, minimum sweep and the most efficient place to start if you want the muzzle pointing at the target quickly.

IWB ... I buy my pants a little bigger in the waist... and look for pants with belt loops... you need a stout belt for stability.

Galco, DeSantis, Bianchi all offer good products. I own all and can endorse them equally.
