Jacket for Concealing a Glock 26 (Female!)?
Brownie asked:
Hi there. I'm a female, with a petite stature (5' tall, 100 lbs). I've been carrying my Glock 26 in a shoulder holster for quite some time now, but summer is just around the corner, and I need something a bit lighter. The aim here is to conceal while still being comfortable and reasonably fashionable (not trying to walk down a runway, but I've seen some jackets for CCW, and they just look so ugly, bulky, etc. that you know what the jacket is for). I've looked around in department stores for a light jacket to fit the purpose, but I haven't found anything yet, so don't tell me to go into stores. Can someone send me a link to a jacket that might fit the bill? Light, but made of a stiffer material that won't show my pistol at the slightest breeze, and reasonable for a small girl to wear? Thanks!
I've considered it, but I feel most comfortable
carrying on my shoulder. I don't like carrying in purse too much, because I've got a holster in my purse which I would have to open plus opening the purse itself. Doesn't make for very quick access. Also, I fear it could likely get stolen. As for the fanny pack, its a similar situation. Also, I've never seen a 21 year old girl carry a fanny pack. I could for see a lot of people I know asking hey, whats this for? Whats in there? You know?

For summer carry, you might want to consider a different option than a shoulder holster. Maybe a hand bag or fanny pack holster.
