Kahr P380 Holsters

Kahr Arms has been at the forefront of the concealed carry handgun market since the early 1990’s. Kahr’s small, lightweight, easily concealed handguns are popular with civilians concealed carry permit and law enforcement officers. Kahr offers a variety of handguns chambered in .380ACP, 9mm, .40S&W, and .45ACP.

Kahr’s new P380 features a polymer frame mated to a stainless steel slide. The P380 also features a Lothar Walther barrel to enhance accuracy. The sights on the P380 are a welcome change from most .380ACP pockets. Rather than the usual small "trough and psuedo-post front sight", the Kahr P380 features useable 3 dot sights or optional tritium night sights.

Even though this gun is surging in popularity among concealed carry holders, finding a good holster is still a little challenging. While there are a few manufacturers that are making holsters for the P380, many of the major manufacturers do not yet have holsters that are specifically designed for the P380.

As with many of the pocket .380's, when most owners choose a P380 holster, they choose a pocket holster. (A pocket holster is how I carry mine.) I have talked to a few other owners that use an inside the waistband holster for their Kahr P380 and that is certainly a good choice as well. Soon we will see a few more choices for the P380. Many manufacturers are starting to add belt holsters and ankle holsters to their lineup, so P380 owners will have a few more ways to carry their pistol.

The Kahr P380 makes a great concealed carry gun due to its width of only 0.75 of an inch. It’s a gun that will not be a pain to carry and won’t dictate what you wear in order to conceal it. The P380 loaded with 7 rounds of weighs just about 13 ounces. Carried in a proper holster, the P380 will feel like you are carrying nothing at all.
