Shoulder holsters can be an excellent method of carrying concealed, but they have their limitations. Once limitation is the fact that they require a cover garment of some type to be concealed. While this isn't really a problem in cold weather, it definitely becomes an issue in warm weather. Another limitation involved the size of the weapon that you are carrying. Larger weapons can be more difficult to carry in a shoulder holster. For the Glock 27 you mentioned above, it would work fine.
