Upside down shoulder holster for a SW Model 19 W/2 1/2″ barrel?

Based on the description you provided, I'm guessing that you are talking about the Bianchi Lightning 9R. It was an upside down shoulder holster that had a leather holster with nylon straps. The holster could be removed from the carrier and worn as a belt holster. Unfortunately, Bianchi stopped making that model years ago. However, you can still find one here and there. I have one for my S&W J Frame and really like it. You might also want to check out Ken Null holsters as he makes an upside down model for revolvers as well. Try looking here for a 9R:

I remember the one you are talking about well. It was made by Safariland and many other manufacturers in the mid 1970′s thru the mid 1980′s, and it sold for about $35 at the time. Unfortunately, those days are long gone, all Safariland is making these days is hard and inflexible polymer holster
