Bianchi Gun Holsters

Based in southern California, Bianchi International was founded by John Bianchi in 1958. Bianchi was a southern California police officer, who felt that he could produce a better duty holster than the model that his department was carrying. After his fellow officers saw and tried a few of the holsters he created, the orders started coming in. Initially, Bianchi was a part-time business that was marketed through word of mouth and mail order. For a brief period of time, it's believed that John Bianchi worked with Neale Perkins, who is the founder of Safariland when the Bianchi business was run out of John's garage.

Although Bianchi originally focused on law enforcement gear, he saw the potential in off duty holsters, so he began adding concealed carry holsters to his line of holsters. One of Bianchi's all time best sellers, the X15 shoulder holster, was created in 1960. Also in 1960, John began offering a modified thumb break on law enforcement holsters that changed the course of duty gear as those models offered far superior retention to any duty holster of that time period. These types of holster innovations continued through the 1960's, to today. During that time, Bianchi Holsters has become an industry leader in the civilian and law enforcement marketplace. Although John Bianchi retired several years ago from the company he founded, his mark is left on a wide range of increasingly diversified and unique Bianchi holsters and accessories, available worldwide.

They produce a number of excellent holster lines including a concealed carry line, duty holster line, competitive shooting series, ballistic nylon line, and models for law enforcement tactical applications.
