Introduced by Kel-Tec in 2006, the Kel-Tec PF-9 was marketed as the “thinnest and lightest 9mm pistol ever mass produced.” Featuring a design that is very similar to the Kel-Tec P3AT, the PF-9 was designed as a law enforcement back-up weapon or for civilian self defense or concealed carry.
As mentioned above, the Kel-Tec PF-9 is chambered for 9mm ammo and the single stack magazine will hold seven (7) rounds. Unloaded, the pistol weighs just under 15 ounces, making it extremely light for concealed carry. Many of the parts for the PF-9 are also used in the Kel-Tec P3AT weapon.
Like most all Kel-Tec weapons, the PF-9 features a polymer frame along with a steel slide. The entire weapon itself only features 6 main components making it very easy to disassemble.
