The H&K P2000 was designed as a smaller version of the H&K USP (Universal Self Loading Pistol) handgun series. The P2000 frame is similar in size to the H&K USP Compact weapon and will generally fit holsters that are made the USP Compact as well.
Like the USP, the P2000 is a polymer based weapon that has models chambered to fit a 9mm, .40 cal. S&W, and .357 Sig. The P2000 also features an interchangeable backstrap and does not have the external safety found on the USP models. The P2000 also features a universal accessory rail, while the USP models have a special Proprietary H&K mounting system that will only work with H&K accessories.
