Introduced by Glock in 1991, the Glock 20 was designed for American law enforcement. Chambered for the the powerful 10mm, the Glock 20 mag will carry 15 rounds.
Dimensionally, the Glock 20 is slightly larger than the Glock 17. The slide is longer and thicker to accommodate the pressure of a 10mm.
Although many small parts are interchangeable with other Glock models, the G-20 slide and frame will not fit any other Glock weapon. Interestingly enough, although the Glock 20 and the related Glock 21 (chambered for the .45 ACP) are not interchangeable, they both will fit a holster designed for the other. Most any holster for the G-20 will also fit the G-21 and vice versa.
